Yes, the pens appear to bleed out at the edges. But, that is the natural reaction of human skin to thin inks.
To avoid this "bleed-out" from the pens, apply a light coat of nearly any make-up sealor, (in a bind, even hairspray will work), powder, THEN use the pens. If you want, you can then apply another coat of sealor over the inks, to increase durability. Then powder once more to remove any unwanted shine, (or apply your favorite anti-shine).
This should solve the problem of the pen ink from bleeding. The natural tack of the sealor helps the ink from traveling long enough for the alcohol to wick away, and it helps create a more stable, receptive surface for the inks to stay put. In more cases than you might think, it isn't a fault of the product, it is usually the technique that is used..

I've bought several colors of this product, and though I love the range- the color bleeds and feathers, giving away the nature of the design. Disappointing in that factor, but overall still usable for most shots but closeups.
