What better way to complete your smashing holiday look than the perfect manicure?! Ok maybe a pair of Louboutins...but nail polish is slightly more affordable. Reds, icy whites, and shimmering metallics are all the rage for the festive season. Check out what I’ve cooked up for you below!
Red, you can’t go wrong with it for the holidays. Crimson hues put us in the spirit almost as much as Gingerbread Lattes do. Of course picking the best red is a challenge. Some of you might like a bright sparkly red while others like myself would go for a darker vampy red like NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty. This red is my holy grail, it's dark enough to be paired with jewel tones yet still holds that Christmassy vibe.
It’s not all year long you can rock metallic golds and shimmering silvers. Well, maybe if you’re Rhianna but we can’t all be her (SIIIIIIIGH). Which is why we have December and NYE to flaunt flashy nails! If gold nails are what you’re after, look no further than NCLA Bel Air Trophy Wife. I love this color because it’s not a yellow gold but more of an icy gold with just the right amount of metallic without being glittery. It’s a great way to be festive, but not over the top. For all my business savvy ladies, this color is for you!
For my gals that prefer to be in the nude all year long, don’t worry I got you covered too. NCLA Volume V is the nude for you right now. I know it’s hard to step away from your Essie Blushing Bride but seasons are changing and your nails have to too. Volume V is a darker taupe based nude with a hint of grey, so whether you’re sporting reds and golds or creams and neutrals this color will pop without being too loud.
You may be asking, “what the f@%# is NCLA?!?” Great question. NCLA Nail Lacquers is a relatively new nail care line that is freaking awesome. Why? For starters the colors are insane, like glow in the darks, “holos” (metallics), nudes to die over and a swim series that takes you to Miami the moment you choose a color. Aside from all that though NCLA is free of FORMALDEHYDE, DBP, TOLUENE, FORMALDEHYDE RESIN, and CHAMPHOR, and they are 100% Vegan and cruelty-free! Hallelujah!
