Feeling Frisky For Fall: Fall Beauty Trends

As the long hot days of summer are coming to an end, we know you’re ready to ditch the tinted moisturizer, waterproof mascara, and rose lip balm. Fall is here (well, not for us in SoCal, but for most of you) and glam is calling. The best thing the cool weather brings besides cookie-scented everything is the fact that your makeup no longer melts off your face the moment you step outside. Which means…you can actually wear more than a BB cream! Hallelujah! Fall and winter beauty trends are always fun for me because there are so many options!

Nothing is more charming than fall leaves changing to warm shades of brown, red and gold. Of course in LA, palm trees don’t change but I’ve traveled a lot so I know leaves that change color are real. And Google says so. Ok, back to beauty trends. These warms shades bring a plethora of makeup looks to rock. First, being shimmery bronzed eye shadow. I love bronzy eyes because it looks great with every eye color and its virtually effortless to achieve. If you want glamorous gold lids you need to invest in the LORAC Unzipped Gold palette. Your peeps will thank you, with shades of light golds, warm bronzes and rich browns you can’t go wrong. Stilazzi Pearl Eyeshadows also has some shimmering stunners and their matte warm browns are swoon-worthy. I love these shadows because you can build your own palette!

Lipstick: Rituel De FilleWritten In Blood”

Next trend, probably the most popular of the season change, beautiful berry lips. Some of our favorite vampy lipsticks include NYX Matte Lipstick Siren, Rituel De Fille Written In Blood, and Jouer Hydrating Lipstick Sarah. Staining your pout in this rich color instantly changes your attitude into “I f***ing got this and no one can tell me otherwise”. That said, the only thing worse than wearing your suede booties in the rain is cracked lips and dark matte lipstick. So before starting to apply that perfect shade, I suggest Sara Happ Lip Scrub. It’s a luxurious sugar based scrub that gently sloughs away dry dead skin leaving lips plump, smooth and hydrated. Oh and they come in flavors you would eat, literally.

Time to revert your beauty routine back to dazzling, get that pumpkin spice latte and be anything but basic!
